Down the stairs in Dia:Beacon, I’m treading the cement caverns of this ex-soup factory with a little trepidation. I was glad to see Sonia Delauney’s work on Pier 92. As a textile designer I am always drawn to her works, and they are very little shown in the southern hemisphere, so it was a treat to find this large tapestry hanging in a thoroughfare of the show.
