Botanical artist John Gist’s recent work caught my eye at The 13th Annual International Juried Botanical Art Exhibition at the The Horticultural Society of New York. His work ‘Cotton; Gossypium hirseutum”, a combination of fine drawing and watercolour, captures the contrast perfectly between fluffy cotton ball and harsh barbed twigs.
