Manuelle Gautrand appears among a host of other female artists and designers in an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, Paris ; elles@centrepompidou, showing women artists in the collections of the National Modern Art Museum.
Citroën chose the architect to renovate its premises at 42, Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris which were opened in 2004. You can see the light display that works within the building in this footage of the Citreon Building posted March 2009 by (c)TimBrown.
Gautrand works Citroën’s renowned logo into the building’s facade. The internal workings can be seen through ordered transparent arrows that work their way up the wall, over the buildings ceiling and down the other side. The logo climbs the mountain of the building and comes out transformed, yet with it’s core element in tact, on the other side.
